I didn’t even cut back on my coffee intake. Well with the exception of the first day, I didn’t drink my espresso using a straw during those two weeks. My heart was racing as I had just run a 100-meter dash, but I looked good. Six espressos later and my teeth were still white as the driven snow. Before and after zoom whitening plus#Plus the espresso was too tasty not to be fully enjoyed. Spitting out the espresso would guarantee the espresso would coat my teeth on the exit. The tilt technique that I had perfected minimized the amount of coffee that touched my teeth. Since this was a cupping and most mortals probably shouldn’t drink six shots of espresso in an hour, they advise spitting the espresso into a cup. The exercise was to isolate the different flavors inside the blend. It needs to be a little cooler in temperature.Īt one of the coffee cuppings, my class sampled the five different beans that made up the Victrola Streamline Blend as individual espresso shots, and then we sampled the espresso blend itself. The straw idea was too silly, so I developed my own technique for sipping espresso that gets almost no coffee on the teeth. This means not just a lot of espresso, but a lot of excellent espressos. I was enrolled in a four-part coffee cupping class at Victrola Coffee Roasters and I also scored a ticket to Coffee Fest. My coffee schedule was not going to make it easy for me to avoid coffee. Carrying a straw into some of the world’s top coffee houses was not an option. Seattle has the best coffee of any place I’ve ever been to. Having just moved to Seattle, I was in espresso heaven. It was less than a satisfactory experience. Before and after zoom whitening tv#Maybe my TV memory is a little fuzzy, but I don’t recall ever seeing anyone on Extreme Makeover drinking espresso through a straw. I dropped a straw into the demitasse and started sipping. The first morning I pulled a shot of my latest espresso blend. My hunch was living with teeth sensitivity would be less traumatic than living with coffee restrictions. The procedure does cause some tingling with periods of sharp shooting pain. The Zoom! light aids in activating the hydrogen peroxide and helps it penetrate the surface of the tooth. …Hydrogen Peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin, bleaching colored substances while the structure of the tooth is unchanged. Oh, and did I mention the cost was free? According to the official site: Not exactly laser teeth whitening, but a cool technology. After prepping the teeth, a bright light is focused on the teeth. The Zoom! Whitening procedure lasted almost an hour. The dentist was a little shocked that I left in a state of panic wondering how I could drink espresso through a straw. Drinking coffee or tea after tooth bleaching can cause staining. It was only after the procedure that I learned about the coffee and tea restrictions. I didn’t ask any questions or do any research. I saw the Zoom! machine on Extreme Makeover and my favorite word is free. Now that I’ve moved to the Seattle area, I needed a new dentist. Before and after zoom whitening free#A few weeks ago I got a direct mail advertisement for a dentist offering new patients a free Zoom! teeth whitening with the purchase of a cleaning and X-rays. If you do have coffee, you must drink it using a straw. You need to avoid coffee or tea for at least the next two weeks. My new dentist then turned to me and said something I’ll never forget. 11/8/2022 0 Comments Simple sticky notes 4.2Wicked Weed Fresh Pressed Wheat-Asheville,NC Light wheat ale bursting with intense mango. 7%ABV 12oz Bottleīrewed with oats, malted wheat &raw wheat with coriander and curaçao orange peel. Then, ok, I copy pasted the rest of it, but I’m happy enough with what this produces that I’ll stop asking questions □ This uses our .MOV as an input but has a second -i flag to use palette.png as a 2nd input. filter_complex “fps=15,scale=400:-1:flags=lanczos paletteuse” sixthtry.gif So that generates palette.png which we can use in our 2nd line in terminal (by the way, the backslash at the end of the line is if you run out of space and need to keep typing, hit backslash and return and you can keep going on a new line before hitting return to complete the command.) ffmpeg -ss 2.6 -t 1.3 -i MVI_7035.MOV -i palette.png But the flags describe what algorithm to use, more info in that blog. You should recognize what -ss, -t, and -i do here, -vf is a way to invoke filters on our video. We have to generate a custom color palette so we don’t waste space storing colors we don’t use (the gif file format is limited to 256 colors): ffmpeg -ss 2.6 -t 1.3 -i MVI_7035.MOV -vf fps=15,scale=320:-1:flags=lanczos,palettegen palette.png Learned a lot from this blog about the color palette algorithms.įound a relatively simple example on stackoverflow. Ffmpeg gif second per frame how to#Let’s find out how to make it look more like a video… This has been pretty simple, but I know I’ve seen better looking gifs. If you have a longer video and want to define the starting position in hours, minutes, seconds, you can use “hh:mm:ss” format, like “00:00:03” instead of “3” ffmpeg -t 3 -ss 0.5 -i MVI_6663.MOV -r “15” fourthtry.gif Oh yeah, and your seconds can be decimals. I’ve got another one to convert that has kind of a long input video, so I’m going to specify a time to start the gif as well as the duration. As an added benefit, the file is now 2 megabytes instead of 8 megabytes. t is used before the -i input, -r is used after the input, so it affects the output.) ffmpeg -t 2 -i MVI_6654.MOV -r “15” thirdtry.gif Thanks to the -r flag, we can choose a frame rate for the output (note that these options do different things based on their order. So it loops! kinda slow tho, maybe we can drop every other frame? A-ha. ffmpeg -t 2 -i MVI_6654.MOV secondtry.gif But I bet I can make it loop nicely by just using the first few seconds, so we use the duration flag, -t and specify the duration in seconds. the filename at the end defines the conversion and creates the new file, resulting in: We’re calling the ffmpeg program and telling it that MVI_6654.MOV is our input file with the -i flag. After getting FFMPEG installed, let’s try it out on a MOV downloaded from my google photos account: ffmpeg -i MVI_6654.MOV firsttry.gif While it is easy and convenient to boil water in a microwave oven, some precautions should be taken as water can be dangerous if it seeps into the appliance. There is no hard evidence to support this. By placing non-metal objects such as a wooden spoon, stick, or popsicle stick in a cup of water while microwaved, you will avoid a dangerous problem called overheating. Try to avoid these materials if possible, especially when boiling water, as you will be microwaving it for a longer period of time than reheating small foods. We recommend that you take the necessary steps to safely boil water in a microwave oven because working with very hot water comes with risks. We will delve into the steps involved in boiling water in the safest and most efficient way, as well as the benefits of boiling in a microwave over other heating methods. Here you will find instructions for safely boiling water in the microwave for fast and effective results. The microwave method is best used to boil a small amount of water for one cup of coffee or tea. #How long does it take for water to boil how toFor someone like me, put the water in a cup, put it in the microwave, boil the water, and put a tea bag seems like an easy solution.īy the way, if youre interested in How To Preserve Cherry Tomatoes, check out my article on that. After the water has been heated long enough (at least 3 minutes), take a long tool and tap lightly on the side of the cup. For example, if the time is set to 3 minutes, set the microwave for the first and a half minutes, then gently stir the water, then set the microwave for the last minute and a half to bring the water to a boil. If the water doesnt seem to boil, put the microwave-safe cup back in the microwave and increase the duration of each interval from one and a half minutes to two minutes. Learn how to boil water in the microwave and is safe to do this Removal is important, as most microwave-safe containers will still be very hot after the water has boiled. After two or three intervals of heating the water, carefully remove the microwave-safe cup and tap it on the sides. Stirring is another way to prevent overheating, as it ensures that the hot and cold spots in a cup of water are the same, so that all parts of the water boil at about the same time. Uses of microwave and how long it takes to boil water. It takes about 2 minutes to bring 1 cup of water from room temperature to 212 degrees Fahrenheit. In most microwave ovens, it takes only 1-3 minutes to boil a glass of water. To learn about How To Preserve Carrots, check out my article where I cover everything you need to know. To figure out how long it takes for the water to boil, you need to know how much power the microwave can produce, up to four minutes. In this article, I will describe exactly how long it takes to boil water in the microwave. The first glass of water can be used as an experiment to see how long you should cook in the microwave. The exact time your specific microwave takes is something you will have to test and find out for yourself. A program called MIDItest shows the disaster of MIDI latency. I think the weakest point is not MIDI itself (a MIDI note takes just a bit more than a millisecond to transfer – see ddrum4!) but the way modern firewire interfaces handle MIDI. #Superior drummer 3 latency software#Triggering drum software on a PC is still horrible. So there's still going on some smart computing while holding up the speed (still faster than present expensive modules from Roland). I might check it as well.Įven the Simmons ADT is quiet fast considering it's almost 20 years old! It even samples the triggering signal envelopes to limit/exclude crosstalk of different triggering types (acoustic drums, pads, tape source, etc.). I didn't have a ddrum3 at that time but I assume it's as fast as the ddrum4. Triggering the ddrum4 itself via MIDI does not take longer as triggering a Roland TD-12 directly without MIDI. I've found it quite remarkable that the ddrum4 is still quiet fast over MIDI. On the other channel I've recorded the audio signal from the drum module. So the piezo signal from the pad is recorded on one channel on the PC. The other one straight into the audio-in of the PC audio interface. I wanted to see how the different systems compare. |
